Wine and Food

Wine is not the only typical product in this region abounding in local artisan products. Beyond the numerous Valpolicella DOC and Soave wineries, it is in fact possible to visit olive mills from the increasingly famous Veneto Valpolicella DOP oil or ancient Alpine huts devoted to the Monte Veronese DOP cheese. You may wish to sample the famous Mora di Cazzano cherry variety, the Lessinia black truffles, the typical soppressa (an aged salami), bisi (peas), bogoni (a local type of snail) to name but a few local delicacies.
